Description

In this image,  the upper left of the frame shows NGC 2174 (also known as Monkey Head Nebula) is an H II emission nebula located in the constellation Orion and is associated with the open star cluster NGC 2175.

In the lower right,  IC 443 (also known as the Jelly Fish Nebula) is a galactic supernova remnant in the constellation Gemini. Its distance is roughly 5,000 light years from Earth. IC 443 may be the remains of a supernova that occurred 3,000 - 30,000 years ago.

This shot was a fairly short off the cuff shot taken with a seperate imaging system while I was imaging M109 the same night with my primary setup.  I'll definitely be revisting both of these objects for a more in depth capture in the future but will probably have to wait untl this fall as my access to the objects is fading fast from my location.
